Instagram is a great platform to promote your blog, however, the way they handle links is very inconvenient. Often you’ll see people mention “link in bio”, because that’s the only place that links are clickable.
Because of this, I decided that I wanted to be able to have a simple URL such as “latest-post”. This magical URL would redirect to my latest blog post and I’d never have to update it. That would save me a lot of time and trouble and I could start sharing pictures and leaving a note that the link was in the bio.

I’ve been using this for a while and yesterday I’ve uploaded it to the plugin repository so that you can use it as well. You can also find it by going to “Plugins” -> “Add New” in the dashboard and searching for “AMB Redirect”.
Once you have the plugin installed, you can change your latest post slug by going to “Settings” -> “Permalinks” and scrolling to the bottom. By default, the plugin will make http://yoursite.com/latest-post redirect to whatever your latest post is.
